Heavy Rotation - December 2024

As always, there are not many new releases in December, but this year, I really can't complain as I have a lot of new stuff released in September, October, and November to listen to. There is a new release, though, and it's Helloween's new live album, Live at Budokan. I loved the performance (well, there is Michael Kiske, always divine) and the setlist, but I am not a massive fan of the sound.

To make the top 10 of the year and to refine some positions, I listened to quite a bit of my personal Best of 2024, then the old Live in Leeds by Pearl Jam, which has a perfect setlist, with lots of non-classics, if you are a fan like me. The newly remastered edition of the Alter Bridge debut, One Day Remains, and Diver Down by Van Halen, one of my favourite to listen to in its entirety and lots of Rolling Stones, which I sum with Grrrr! Live (but I have the four "studio" cd version, I don't know why it's not on Spotify). Also, the most played CD in the kitchen, this time, was definitely Higher Truth by Chris Cornell.

I recommend a TV series on Apple TV called Bad Sisters. It's a slow-burning thriller with lots of comedy aspects. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about this, but just to tell you that the show has a beautiful soundtrack, and there is a user who puts all the songs on a playlist. There are lots of old classics (Tarantino Style) and Indie songs.
