American rock band Chase the Comet proudly just released their latest single, “I’m Coming Out”. Formed in the United States by Russian-born immigrants Nika Comet (vocals) and Alexander
Mishustov (guitar, bass, and sound production), Chase the Comet is returning after
a creative hiatus.
“I’m Coming Out” marks the band’s first recording in a few years and signals a
powerful new chapter born from an intense spiritual journey.
“This song is about unveiling the real you — free from the limits society or even we ourselves
place on our identity,” says the frontwoman. Raw, unapologetic, and deeply personal, the track
is a celebration of authenticity.
Inspired by their 27-date national U.S. tour opening for guitar legend Yngwie Malmsteen in
2024, the duo leaned into a classic rock sound, stripped down to just drums, bass, guitar, and
vocals. “Some might say it sounds outdated — we say it’s timeless,” they add. “We’re paying
tribute to rock in its purest form: raw, real, and unfiltered.”
I love the sound and the production, very 90s and energetic. The song is pure adrenaline, with a super solid rhythm section, very inspired guitar riffs, a fantastic solo, and catchy vocal lines (check out the chorus!), amazingly performed. “I’m Coming Out” is a quality song from every point of view and enjoyable from start to finish.
