Connect The Circle - Never Ending Winter

Hailing from Norway, Connect The Circle is a progressive metal band blending dark, heavy riffs with intricate vocal melodies. Members are Arild Fevang – Vocals, Kenneth Brastad – Guitars, Mariuuz – Bass and Andreas Auby – Keys. Formed in 2018, the band has released three albums—This Is Madness (2020), Mother of Evil (2022), and Blinded by the Violence (2023).

Never Ending Winter is the second glimpse of the upcoming concept album, Wolf In The Sky. The song is inspired by the catastrophic aftermath of a series of massive volcanic eruptions starting in the year 536 – events that triggered a “volcanic winter,” widespread crop failure, famine, plague, and enormous human loss. The track captures the feeling of being trapped in a brutal moment of historical fate, while channeling a modern, progressive power that takes the band to new heights.

It's a quality track from every point of view, with super catchy vocals (check out the chorus), a superb middle section, a fantastic guitar solo, and an outstanding performance on drums by Baard Kolstad (Leprous, Rendezvous Point). The sound is spot on, with a fantastic mix by Peter Michelsen, and great performance on drums is Baard Kolstad (Leprous, Rendezvous Point).
