Here for my March heavy rotation? You are in the right place.
Let's start with new stuff. March was a good month, overall: the new Avantasia, Here be dragons, and the new Gotthard and The Darkness. Also the usual classy album by Andy Timmons, Recovery. They will surely be competing for a place in the top 10 of 2025, while Dream on Toast has lots of songs that... "meh", at least for me. You can click on the titles for the reviews if you want to read my opinion.
In my heavy rotation we find the latest, self titled Helloween, waiting for the new one, almost ready, the old collaboration of two giants Coverdale/Page, Second Nature by Flying Colors (I love Dream Theater, but I would rather Mike Portnoy to continue with them, as I find them way more inspired and DT lost in a sort of loop). Live in Slovenia, by Pearl Jam, mainly because it's a rare one, without Even Flow, the only song they play all the time. Also, on that tour, Matt Cameron's drum sound was just perfect; it was absolutely spot on.
Talking about live albums, I finally managed to listen to Metallica live sh*t binge & purge. I have a bootleg which is 70% of the concert but I managed to listen to the entire concert, in two trips, with my car. At home I put on a few times, on CD, the beautiful Queensryche Greatest Hits (remembering the band's golden era) and Higher Truth by Chris Cornell.
