Whereafter - Who I Am (Official Video)

Whereafter, a band from Atlanta, Georgia, USA, released their debut album, "blessed & depressed" on the 21st of February. The album is an exploration of the various facets of anxiety and despair. In contrast to the habit of releasing single after single after single, it is meant to evoke the era when whole albums were valued. The drums were played by Kellii Scott from the influential 90s alternative band Failure. The album was mastered by Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Masters, known for working with artists like Prince, Fleetwood Mac, KoRn, and Alter Bridge.

This is the new single, Who I Am. The band describes the song and its meaning: "It is generally about the fight between succumbing to the fact that you have depression/anxiety/etc and accepting that it's who you are, or constantly fighting against that fact as if there's a way out." I love the riff; it is hard and catchy at the same time, very old-school, and has a great sound as well. The song features great vocals and it's enjoyable from start to finish, thanks to a great sound as well.

Give it a go by clicking on the video above (very well made as well) and follow Whereafter on social media as well.
