Feather For A Stone is the third studio album by rock Swiss band No Mute.
Elements of stoner rock and metal already used by the band in the past are combined with quieter passages in the new album. The nine songs have spherical features in addition to the usual hard sides, with many hooks and catchy and melodic choruses. The album was mixed by George Leodis (1000 Mods, Nightstalkerand others) and mastered by Swiss expat Jari Antti (Navel, Harvey Rushmore and The Octopus and others).
No Mute has been around for more than 15 years. Besides touring from Hungary to Italy, the band has performed at festivals such as the Up In Smoke Festival and the Blue MoonFestival. A classic rock line-up with a charismatic lead singer ensures an energetic stage set. No Mute are a live band with more than 200 concerts under their belt.
What I like about the band is definitely the attitude and the Stoner sound, catchy but robust choruses, great riffs and aggressive drumming. Quality music and a very good album. This one below is the videoclip of the single Derail.
