Hey guys, here we are with another "different" article (you know I do it, from time to time) and related more to my personal life and with what I am doing with Given to Rock or tips in general, rather than the music.
I told you already how my work situation has basically changed during the pandemic and due to the fact that Given to Rock has become now my main focus and main profession, I'm now permanently (and very happily, if I can add!) working from home now. Well, personally I find it very easy as the commuting was a nightmare in the last period when I moved a little out from the city (but not that much. So, I am very happy about the change, but I am aware that for other people, especially if you are not comfortable with your own space or you don't have a proper setup or anything related to that. If you are not comfortable within the current space you are using now, you may consider relocating or even buying your own place and building it around your profession.
For instance, you already know that I make YouTube videos and, for that purpose, I had to create a sort of studio room with gadgets of all sorts, including a monitor, guitars (everywhere) CD, DVD, music books, Blu-rays always in good evidence but not forgetting the right space for placing the camera, that needs the right angle, the right light, and so on. What I am trying to say is that for me it's kind of crucial to be comfortable with my own space and manage it based on my needs. Living with flatmates and sharing that space would be very bad for what I do as I would not be able to change it or have it available whenever I want or based on my needs.
Well, your work situation may be similar to mine, now that everything is more inclined to be working from remote (huge thanks to Zoom, Skype, my favourite Whereby and all these platforms for video calls and video meetings) that road may be sort of permanent in the future world as companies started to understand that remote working is perfectly doable and it's also cheap for both ends (saving transports costs it's huge for the employee) so, in order to do that, it's absolutely crucial to be comfortable within your own walls. With this in mind, you may be thinking of buying a new place. If you are based in Canada or you are thinking to relocate there, you may check Vancouver homes for sale.
What's your current situation? Are you working remotely or are you working from home? How do you feel not going to the office anymore, do you think it will have positive or negative impacts on the future of our society? What do you think the future of housing and remote working is? Feel free to drop a comment in the box below and let me know what you think.
