Benny Bassett - Can't We Just

Benny Bassett has played in 46 states and seven countries, including on festival stages, dive bars, breweries, and living rooms. Fitz & The Tantrums, Lifehouse, Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel, and The Verve Pipe have all performed on his stage. Benny will drive his 500,000th mile this year since going solo in 2016.

Benny (previously on Vintage Blue) has just released a new EP named What You Believe on April 8. Benny's new CD is his third EP, and his first since the publication of Words For Yesterday in 2019. Benny used the skills he learned during quarantine and while recording with producers Jamie Candiloro (The Eagles, Willie Nelson, Ryan Adams) and the Alpine Red crew of Kit Karlson and Chip Johnson for the What You Believe sessions (Tony Lucca, The Alternate Routes). 

This is his new single, called Can't We Just, starting with a nice arpeggio and soft vocals. We can notice immediately the sound quality and the great arrangement of the song. My favourite part of the song is probably the one in the middle, with a soft keyboard solo.
