The Cold Stares - The Joy

The Cold Stares have been touring nonstop as a duo for the past 10 years, shocking crowds in the US and Europe with a ferocious, scorching live performance that belied their basic guitar and drum setup. With the release of their explosive new album, Voices, the band is now embracing a completely new kind of chemistry as they begin their next chapter. They have added a third member and are channelling the classic power trio sound they grew up on.

This is their new single, called The Joy. From the first note, we can immediately notice the great sound (what a riff) and the intensity of the song, despite the low pace. I really like the chorus, very melodic and with amazing vocals (and backing!). The song reminds me of a band that I love, Flying colors, for the mix of styles and the overall class.
