Song of the day: Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir - .45

Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir has claimed to be a country band that does not perform country music since its start. Eddie Dickerson (fiddle, guitar), Thomas Johnson (keyboards), and husband-and-wife rhythm duo Brian 'Piper' Barbre (drums) and Joanna Smith (bass) make up the varied ensemble, which is noted for intense live performances and outstanding musicianship. The EP was launched in 2021, while Wiley's LP "The Longing" was released to critical acclaim in 2022.

This is their new single, called ".45". I really like the mood of the song, very energetic and fast paced, with very inspired vocals and a quality production/arrangement. I find the song very original, well performed and overall very enjoyable. Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
