Brett Benowitz - Nothing To Prove

Brett Benowitz, who was raised in a small Georgia town, began his career as a Rock, Funk, and Blues musician when he was 13 years old. Brett's music, best characterised as The Red Hot Chilli Peppers meets The White Stripes, is high intensity, soulful, funky, hard hitting rock that will have you moving. Brett spent eight years developing his abilities in New York City's lively music environment before moving to Los Angeles, where he quickly came to notoriety after winning a renowned contest with Fender, gaining him merit as one of their featured recording artists. 

This is his new single, called Nothing To Prove. Brett describes the song: "This is the song to listen to when you need an extra burst of energy or confidence to take on any challenge the world throws at you. This is a badass rock song that reminds you that YOU are a badass just because you're you. You've got nothing to prove because your very existence is proof enough." 

I love the pace, the energetic mood (very 90s) and the guitar/bass lines, energetic and catchy. The song is very well performed and produced. It features great vocals (the chorus will get stuck in your head) and a very inspired guitar solo as well.
