O KANENAS - Explode

O KANENAS is an independent Greek singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Odd time signatures seen in Greek traditional music are frequently exploited, and the sound is mostly electric guitar lead and hard rock. This is their new single, called Explode. The artist commented: "It is a rock song in 9/8 with more of a grunge/punk rock approach than usual for me and some slide work. It talks about compromising and keeping it all in until you explode!"

 

I love the hypnotic bass line at the beginning of the song accompanied by guitars on the left/right side of the speakers. The song features a super catchy chorus (great vocals!) and odd but tasty tempo signature and overall I find it very enjoyable from start to finish.
