Furio Grace - A Tear to Shed

This is the new single by Furio Grace, called A Tear to Shed

The band commented on the release: "In the making of this song we were inspired by soundtracks to classic movies like the James Bond Saga. Also, we still wanted it to feel vintage and tried to capture the sound of the 70s, which is our biggest inspiration in making music. We want it to feel as authentic as possible and take you with us on our journey in creating and honing our sound, which is of course always a work in progress. We started last year by building our own studio room and getting some nice recording equipment in there. After the release of an unplugged EP last year we are now working on new material, which features more of an electric sound. "A Tear to Shed" is the first single coming out of this".

This is a very interesting song with lots of influences. I can hear Scorpions in the first part of the song and when the drums kick in it switches to something reminding me of King Crimson, but with a very decisive sound of the drums, like Pain Of Salvation. I mentioned all these big names to say that the song is definitely quality (great vocals and an inspired solo section too) and the production is simple and old school, my favourite.
