Pseudopomp - 23

Pseudopomp, a London-based alt-rock duo, have released their debut single '23'.

This indie-rock song celebrates early-stage romance with personal lines and a powerful garage rock chorus. In some respects, '23' recalls the narrative of how Pseudopomp got together, therefore they couldn't resist a little grim humour by evoking their home teams' comparable, if dysfunctional, merger.

In 2021, the two met as members of another band and played different instruments. After hours of jam sessions produced several songs, the band decided to create a separate outlet for their creativity, resulting in the formation of Pseudopomp.

This is their new single, called 23. I love the production and the mood of the song, happy and energetic. The song is very radio-friendly and enjoyable from start to finish, it features catchy vocals (the chorus will probably get stuck in your head), inspired riffs, a great guitar solo and a general spot-on performance by the duo. It will be followed by other releases, all recorded with partner Ben 'Faz' Farestvedt from Damage Audio.  The duo will perform several warm-up performances in London, including a show with The Great Leslie on July 24th at the Strongroom Bar.
