The Breaks Inc. - The Ins + Outs of Always Being Sad

It's taken nearly four years, but The Breaks Inc. finally gained traction as their debut record, named 'Hotel Earth', gets to completion. The album is a crashing departure from their prior albums, drawing inspiration from the, and eras. After recording two EPs and many singles in a basement using borrowed equipment, the band decided to give their first album the time and attention it deserves by having Hotel Earth "recorded properly." The new sound is darker and more ambient than the band's earlier work, and the recordings have a tangible tension that stems from the uncertainty of a future over which no one has control.

This is their new single, called The Ins + Outs of Always Being Sad. The band commented "This song is an auditory representation of a day in the life. Your inner thoughts are miserable, tired, and bleak. And yet all you hear are the happy musings of those around you." This is a very cool track, with a great rhythm section, very dynamic, very inspired guitar parts, and catchy vocals. The production is also great and the song is very enjoyable from start to finish, thanks to a great performance by the band.
