Heavy Rotation - September 24

Here for what was in my stereo and on my headphones during the past month? You are in the right place. Here we go.

The new live album by Skid Row is fantastic, but it's already outdated as the singer has left the band due to health issues. Among new releases: The new Soul Asylum, Slowly but Shirley (click for the review) Nomad, the new (very cool) Richie Kotzen, the new Michael Shenker, revisiting hits by UFO (his former band) with important guests like Dee Snider, Axl Rose (I didn't recognize him, honestly. What happened to his voice?), Slash and Joey Tempest, among others. I totally recommend this one as well.

Still the new David Gilmour, Luck and Strange, which I find very inspired (and one of the best albums of this year). Lots of Pearl Jam (live albums, mainly) and a R.E.M. beautiful compilation, which I often put in the kitchen stereo, while I prepare something, wash dishes etc. Among more robust ones, The System has Failed, one of my favourite (and probably underrated) Megadeth and my favourite album by Tremonti, a Dying Machine, waiting for the new one.
