RICHIE KOTZEN will release his upcoming solo album “Nomad” on BMG on September 27, 2024.
“Insomnia” is the third single from NOMAD and is a moodier, more melancholic track. While retaining his hard rock sensibilities, Kotzen’s deep Philadelphia roots shine through in a funkier bridge and chorus. The verses are characterized by an insomnia-like anxiety. The main melody of “Insomnia” comes to Richie while sleeping. When inspiration struck, he immediately woke up, fired up his studio and not wanting to lose creative momentum, worked through the night and what would become “Insomnia” emerged.
