The single "WHENEVER YOU'RE READY" heralds the return of Duisburg hard rockers TYPHOON. The band had been silent for a long time after the publication of the EP "SOMETIMES" and the LP "METEOROLOGY" and several shows in the 1990s. In 2017, the six musicians returned to the stage with a fantastic live performance while simultaneously releasing their two albums online. With the band's 40th anniversary this year and its 40th live anniversary in 2025, the work of a new record will begin, after which the band will perform live again. This is the first pre-release single from the next album, which will be published next year.
The song is enjoyable from start to finish and features catchy and energetic vocals, a dynamic, powerful, and precise rhythm section, and inspired guitars (what a solo!). The chorus will get stuck in your head and the song is a pleasant jump in the 80s, reminding me of Europe.
