Ivy Walker is a Sweden-based project by Marcus Ehrenholm (vocals) and Magnus Florin (guitars, bass, keys, etc.), who have been in a number of bands and projects, both together (Assailant) and separately (The Embodied, Lava Engine, Greyfox Agenda, etc.). Their shared love of melodic rock and metal has always been a driving force, so collaborating on the Ivy Walker project was a natural fit. Influences include Stratovarius, Magnum, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Pretty Maids, Accept, and a lot more.
True North is clearly inspired by the (great) above and it's a pure and old-style power metal song, with catchy guitar riffs, inspired solos, double bass, high pace, and very melodic (including a super anthemic chorus).
