Tayra - Interview

Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release Human Abyss.
Human Abyss collects the result of Tayra's last two years. It is an album that, even in the tracklist, retraces our most recent musical evolution. Let's say that although it is a new release for us it represents the closing of a circle and the restart towards new ideas.

- How would you describe your sound?
Our sound mixes anger and darkness. Heavy riffs, tight rhythms and a melodic voice. We try to create our own path through energetic, raw and authentic music

 - What do you write about?
Each song describes a state of mind, a moment we experienced and which was transformed into music

- What do you listen to when you are home?
A lot and different music. Modern metal, nu-metal, also rap or progressive. Sometimes songwriter or jazz, or what goes through our heads.

- Your favourite live performance so far?
The last one at Margini Fest 3rd edition. Good vibes in the backstage, very emotional location and energic audience.

- Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage
If I think about it, in truth we don't have a history but I can tell you that every time we see each other we end up laughing until we cry at some bullshit we say or do

- Your favourite albums?
Dark Ages (Soulfly), Human (Death), Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (Limp Bizkit), Awake (Dream Theater). One for each of us.

- A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
Definitely Max Cavalera or Corey Taylor… but not together because the beers to drink would be too many!!

- What would you ask for backstage, if you were the most important band on earth?
Oh everything I presume, from ethically correct and legal things to something not reportable here.

- What are your plans for the near future?
How much time do we have? Jokes aside, there are so many. We have ideas for the live show, ideas for some collaborations, ideas for new videos…
