Heavy Rotation - October 2024

Here with the usual heavy rotation for yours truly. The month is, of course, October (as you can see from the title). So, here we are with what was in my stereo, headphones (and car as well).

This period is full of good new music, I didn't even have time to listen to all the albums properly (I'm happy about that as it doesn't happen very often, especially in the last few years). To go a little more in detail, I'm talking about the new album by D-A-D, Speed of Darkness, The Art of Letting Go by Myles Kennedy (click for the review, one of the best of the year), the new Beth Hart, You still got me, Jerry Cantrell, The Offspring, Casandra's Crossing (a new interesting project with George Lynch) and still the new releases by David GilmourRitchie Kotzen and Soul Asylum as well.

There is a new live album by Mr. Big, the Big Finish live, (great setlist but Eric Martin...), and a new EP by Serj Tankian, with at least a couple of very cool songs, to me. Also, very thrilled by the new Dream Theater single, the first one after the return of the king, Mike Portnoy. But the album will be only released next year. There are lots of other new releases, but you will see them next month as I literally had no time!

Among old stuff, I've listened to classic albums like Sad Wings Of Destiny - Judas Priest, the first Iron Maiden (R.i.p. Paul Di Anno) and Nevermind by Nirvana. Yes, all very important albums.
