Set in and around a saloon bar, it showcases the antics of JP and a cast of cowboys. Among them is Daisy, the object of his affection. However, this gun-wielding showgirl is not all that she seems. The folk-rock singer states that the video’s Wild West influence was inspired by the life of his great-grandfather. “He ran saloons in New Mexico and Arizona for 20 years before returning to Ireland. The video’s colourful characters are a modern-day version of the type of people he would have encountered.”
The video, directed by Christopher Georgiou, is well-made, enjoyable, and fun to watch. The thing I personally like the most is that It doesn’t feel pretentious despite the hard work involved. The song is very catchy and of absolute quality, too, with a top-notch performance by JP and a classy arrangement and production.
