Dennis Boudet began his solo project, Shallow Affect, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2024. The project's origins date back many years, during that period there were several tragic natural disasters and life-altering events. The end product is an EP with five tracks called "Out With The Tide."
Although Dennis had some help recording the vocals, he performed guitar, bass, synth, and programming on every track. He is also the author of all the music compositions, lyrics, and melodies. The EP features themes of letting go of pain and those who get in their own way and the influences are bands like Faith No More, Alice In Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots.
This is the video of Frenzy, which features killer riffs, a solid rhythm section (I love the bass lines), and melodic vocals.
