Next Planet is a Chicago-based band that released its debut full-length album, Star-Crossed. The band is fronted by Scott Fischer, a songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist also known for his work with the international Frank Zappa tribute act The Furious Bongos. The singer started working with Rick Lyons on guitar, Tim Gavin on drums, and Andy Sviatko on bass back in their previous outfit, Fischer’s Flicker.
The band describes the song Feudal Winds as "A hard-hitting rock anthem fueled by political frustration and the chaos of division. With tribal energy, dynamic tension, and raw power, it captures the fury of a nation at a breaking point". I love the start, almost NWOBHM, and the arrangement. It is a pure class with tasty guitar and very dynamic drumming. The vocals are catchy and the song is overall very enjoyable from start to finish, with a fantastic solo section as well.
